                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 323
                   STRINGER STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF
                   STRINGER STREET AT CHILHOWIE STREET, FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 323 Stringer Street,
                being on the northeast line of Stringer Street at
                Chilhowie Street.  The southwest 105 feet of lot 1,
                block 9, Thompson and Carter's Addition to Hill
                City, as shown by plat of record in plat book 2,
                page 17, ROHC; being part of the property described
                in deed book 4333, page 612, ROHC.  Tax Map No.
                135C-P-1 (part).
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to R-4 Special Zone.                
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
